Today I had the pleasure of being stared at and treated like I was an idiot by the manager. Then pushed off on another employee when he couldn’t do a split transaction on two different cards and I had to go to the ATM to pull cash out. It was great. Chris was first helping an elderly woman check out, and another associate closer to me was helping another customer. When finished with his customer, the manager Chris stared at me with a look on his face “are you coming or not?” - mind you the elderly woman had not stepped completely away. I was looking at both of them with hesitation because I wasn’t completely sure if he was ready for me. Or if she needed anything else before walking away. So I asked, oh, are you ready for me? Because it’s rude to just walk up and assume. Again, looking at me as if I were stupid - nodded his head. When I got to the register he said “I did say next customer” or something to that effect. If he did, clearly I didn’t hear him. Or I wouldn’t have been standing there. Now to check out, during the ALMOST transaction with him. He had attitude the whole time pushing the buttons on his screen and keyboard hard. I needed to split the transaction between my hsa card and debit. However, unlike most places, I guess at Walgreens you can’t split between two cards. Or at least that’s what he told me to make my interaction that much more difficult. With attitude he says to me “It won’t even let me enter an amount” pushing buttons on the screen hard. So my option was to go to the ATM (at the time I didn’t think about cash back). When I went to the ATM all of the 45-60 seconds it took to withdraw - that was too long for “Mr. Manager” to wait. He cancelled the transaction and handed my ONE item to the employee next to him and said - “I think she’s gonna get cash and split the payment or something.” Then walked away to whatever was more important than a customer. - Mind you the ATM was so close he could see me withdrawing and I could literally hear him say that to her. Knowing I’d be right back in less than a minute, he left the front area. Forcing me to wait behind another customer in the other associates line for an extra few minutes. Just to be a jerk about it. A couple things to this manager. 1. If you’re having a bad day. Leave it at the door. Don’t treat the customers like they’re stupid because you failed to treat them properly in the first place. Or failed to speak loud enough for them to hear. I was watching and listening intently and heard NOTHING from you, just a stare, then a nod like I’m an idiot wasting your time. 2. Fix your face and demeanor - as a manager, the customer and your employees should never be able to see or sense an attitude from you or the faces you make. No matter what you have going on outside work or if a customer gets to you.

The Walgreens pharmacy at Baseline & Burke in Gilbert is especially talented at what they do for our community. Any time of the day or night they greet us with friendly smile and a fantastic attitude . I have been getting vaccinations and prescriptions for myself & my family here for over 20 years and I will not go anywhere else. I only wish I could thank each and every person who works in the pharmacy for the wonderful service they give.

The regular pharmacy staff at the Baseline and Burke location is truly exceptional. They are consistently friendly, kind, and professional, creating a welcoming environment every time I visit. Whenever I’ve encountered an insurance issue in the past, they have handled it with grace and empathy, taking the time to explain the best way to resolve it. Their dedication and care make a real difference.

Staff are always very friendly and helpful. Everything is very clean and well organized. We went to the photo center to get an old disposable camera developed and the wait was 3-5 business days. When we asked if there was any place that could do it sooner the kind gentleman told us there was a CVS that could. I don’t know of very many establishments that would recommend a competitor’s store to their shoppers. Definitely would recommend. They treat you like a person, not just a customer.

I’ve been shopping at this Walgreens for almost 12 years, but I’ve slowly started going elsewhere because of repeated negative experiences with one of the customer service representatives, Josh. He’s worked here for quite some time, but his attitude seems to get worse each visit. He’s rarely near the register, and when he does ring people up, he acts like it’s an inconvenience. Tonight was my breaking point. I waited at the register with a full hand cart of items while no one was around. When Josh finally came up front, he walked right past me, stood at the other register, and just stared without saying a word. When he finally started ringing me up, he asked if I wanted a bag, which should have been obvious given the amount of small items I had, then shoved everything into a single bag and tried to top it off with a half gallon of ice cream. This experience shows a real lack of customer service and basic courtesy. I truly hope management addresses this, because after over a decade of loyalty, I’d like to continue shopping here, but it's not likely.
