I recently visited Walgreens at 801 Independence Blvd in Virginia Beach, and I had an exceptional experience. The store is always clean, well-stocked, and the staff is incredibly friendly and helpful. Special shoutout to Jean, who went above and beyond to assist me with my prescription. Her warm demeanor and attention to detail made the process smooth and stress-free. Jean truly embodies what great customer service should be. Thank you, Walgreens, for having such dedicated employees!

This was by far the worst Walgreens experience I’ve ever had. The pharmacists behind the counter were extremely rude and showed zero empathy or sense of urgency while helping customers. I came in trying to get my inhaler something I genuinely needed and instead of receiving basic care or understanding, I was met with attitude and indifference. What made it even worse is that it wasn’t just me. Every single person in line was treated with the same level of disrespect. It was especially upsetting to see older customers being spoken to so poorly. Healthcare settings should prioritize compassion and professionalism, and this location failed completely in both.

Today I went in search of a battery that I could not find. The store employee(Adnan) went above and beyond while helping me. They did not have what I needed but while I finished my shopping he looked it up and wrote down all the compatible ones and where I might find one. Such a help to me. Thank you

Very unresponsive. They’ve messed up my prescriptions on more than a few occasions and then wouldn’t take accountability. I’ve had to call my insurance multiple times for them to do an override because of Walgreens mess up. There’s no accountability there. Then when I went to pick up my prescription one time the lady at the window got an attitude because I asked questions to make sure everything was right because of the multiple mess ups. They will try to fill partials instead of saying they don’t have the full supply which is why the prescriptions end up being messed up on insurance end. This will have you back and forth there all month long instead of one time for a 30day supply.

I'm not sure what has happened over the years with Walgreens but this is one of the worst ones I have dealt with not only from a professional standpoint as a nurse (I deal with walgreens for my patients) but for myself as well. Filling wrong medications that I have transcribed over for my own patients, to having mine filled as well. The lack of communication, and lack of knowledge is very concerning. They failed to let me know something was out of stock for my 4 month old, the lack of compassion from the Pharmacist, filling wrong medications.. This is critical for patient care and it's absolutely alarming they could be so careless with meds. I have switched over to Walmart pharmacy and have had absolutely no issues at all They always have my medications in stock as well as my children's meds.. I would tread lightly here if I were anyone considering using walgreens. Also a friendly tip for the workers- you never know what someone is going through- with that in mind, kindness goes a long way. As someone with postpartum depression, it makes all of the difference when someone shows compassion vs. someone who acts like they hate their job. I hope this review is taken seriously for any other patient who decides to use this pharmacy.
