I have had multiple negative experiences with the pharmacy staff at the Walgreens on Broadway in Lemon Grove. The staff often come across as disrespectful and there seems to be very little sense of urgency when helping customers. On several occasions, my father’s medication was canceled without any explanation. When I tried calling the pharmacy to resolve the issue, the wait time was at least 40 minutes, and even then I was often unable to reach anyone. There have also been times when someone answered the phone only to hang up. When visiting in person, it often appears that only one employee is working at the pharmacy counter at a very slow pace while other staff members are standing around. The drive-thru service has been just as frustrating. On one visit, I waited nearly two hours with only three cars ahead of me. My medication was already ready for pickup, yet I was held at the window for about 20 minutes. The employee who came to the window took my information, disappeared for another 20 minutes, and eventually returned with the medication. I noticed the same thing happening with the cars in front of me. Overall, the level of customer service and efficiency at this location has been very disappointing. I hope management addresses these issues so patients can receive their medications in a timely and respectful manner.

I use walgreens alot to load my chime card when. I get paid. Im usually in and out. Haven't used the pharmacy at the lemon Grove location but the hillcrest on I have. They are nice enough but always very busy at the pharmacy. Long wait times

The epitome of corporate greed. This place is sad, the pharmacy is ALWAYS busy, so slow and zero help. They run a skeleton crew always. A huge influx of business with rite aid shutting down yet they don’t hire up and support. Corporate puts profits over people both staff and customers. This please never satisfies, prepare to wait 1+ hour just or pick up a prescription. They have a drive thru window that is rarely open, employees are programmed to constantly apologize due to short staffing but it’s this way always. They are “short staffed” but not hiring. Make it make sense. Tragic and soon it will catch up to them. You can’t have a successful retail business without customer feedback or service.

This place is allergic to being efficient. Your pharmacy sucks. Fix it. No way you have to wait 45 minutes just to pick up medicine. I know this isn’t the techs fault it’s the manager/owner of this Walgreens. HIRE. Also do you have a pharmacist? Because it seems like they slack on the job. Why do we repeatedly have issues with getting approval for life needed medicine on time??! Having to go back and forth on the phone just to get SOME filled on time. Are you serious??! I have one more in me and then I’m gone and I’m taking my family and friends with me. Do. Better.

My experience here just left me in tears. Luckily there was one employee that took his time and helped me get my prescription. I called twice today because my rX was sent in and confirmed to my doctor. Nothing shows up in my app so I called… spent over an hour just to be told it never was sent. So I called my doctor and it was definitely sent. So I called Walgreens again and after 1.5 hours I hung up and drove over. Waited in line (which is fine but I am in severe pain hence the rX) and I get a lady who just tells me it wasn’t sent in. I said I called and confirmed it was. She kept saying nope and it must be another place. So I showed her my app from my doctor and she said well I have a line and I can’t go through all the scripts. I said isn’t there another way to look it up? She said nope and there is a line so she can’t. Someone came over and she was magically able to find one of the meds. I said well the other must be there too… she said nope I can’t go though it. Told me to sit down and I said the people in line is not more important than mine. Luckily the gentleman next to her working said he’d help me out after handled his situation. He kept his word and I totally appreciated it. I then tried to go buy something in the cosmetic section and when I was rung up the sale price didn’t come up… they said well we go off the computer…. Not the signs. That’s INSANE to me. Unless it is an emergency I will not go back
