I wanted to make sure I gave ANGEL Walgreen store manager and representation of the company - a shout out for not knowing his job and NO customer service skills (which is the main skill set needed for retail). Quick story. It’s night time. Store had no customers. Asked store manager Angel if he knew which Aisle an item was in ( it was an over the counter med that I bought over a dozen times and all drug stores sell it). He quickly replied we don’t sell that. So I said yes you do. Instead of using Walgreen resource to assist, that I know he is privileged to - he did not assist AT ALL. So I had to walk around the store lost/ wondering. I asked a stock worker female for help, showed her the picture of the medicine. Not only did she help me find the item but stopped her stocking duties and escorted me to the aisle and shelf it was located on (she didn’t smile but was helpful). When I got to the register and asked Walgreens store manager ANGEL if he wanted to know which aisle the item is located in HIS STORE for future reference, his only reply was DID YOU FIND WHAT YOU WERE LOOKING FOR! WOULD YOU LIKE A RECEIPT? My point of writing this review is. I live in NYC and was visiting. Most stores are self check out now. Ai is taking careers daily. If store managers do not want to interact with the public than they’re not needed. We can do online shopping if that’s the case. We walk in for HUMAN CONTACT NOT ATTITUDE for having a job. You will lose a lot of money at this location for poor customer service. You’re located near a hospital where people will need help.

This place consistently fails to refill my prescriptions on time or to advise when there is a delay. At times they do no refill until I personally go in to the store and ask why it’s taken them so long, then sometimes they will refill it in person while I wait. Walgreens makes you download an app to manage prescriptions, but the app doesn’t work, and this shop will not answer their phones without forcing you through multiple phone trees and making you wait. Also, they apparently don’t receive prescriptions over the weekend…? One of their pharmacists told me this but it seems too dumb to believe. This Walgreens plays recklessly with people’s health.

The 7th St & McDowell pharmacy is one of the best Walgreen locations. There's always the potential glitch with any pharmacy, but 9/10x these folks are great. One of their pharmacists has gone above and beyond helping with a couple of my prescriptions when there's been stock issues. I really appreciate that and that the staff have taken time to get to know names and faces of customers with a lot of medical issues. It means a lot to us customers when when they are kind and considerate.

This store is normally very clean well organized and very well staffed. Over the past few weeks, the level of service at this store has declined sharply. The shelves do not seem as well stocked, the line at checkout has gotten increasingly long and slow. The store seems to have become understaffed. I believe that the staff that they have is trying their best to accommodate the customers. The management at Walgreens has become increasingly lack luster and seems not to care about their customers or their staff. They spread the staff so thinly that they do not have time to give them the time to take care and give the customer the service that they deserve.

Today I sent a photo book that would be my saving grace on my anniversary, but when I got there found out it didn’t print correctly … 30 mins before my anniversary dinner. Constance saved the day! Thank you!!
