Kristan Mckoy 5 months agoThis pharmacy is the absolute worst! The pharmacist are incompetent, and they made me feel completely humiliated tonight, however, it’s not the first time that they couldn’t get my medication order together. My card was charged for the total cost of my medication today along with the same day delivery charge (I contacted my bank to confirm). I reached out to the pharmacy to make sure my medication would be delivered, because I previously had an issue with their same day delivery service. I was told that they hadn’t received the order, even though I was sure to order before the cutoff time for same day delivery. I advised that I would come and pick up the medication, and requested a refund for the same day delivery service. When I arrived to pick up the medication, they attempted to charge me again for the transaction. I was visibly upset because the staff began to chuckle, which made me even more upset. Another customer who witnessed the interaction offered to cover the cost of the medication. When I say this isn’t the first time I’ve had an issue I mean it. Starting 6/2025 up until now I’ve had the same issue with this same medication. 5 pills here, 15 pills there, 85 pills, etc. The last full I received in October were short pills, and didn’t realize until I was completely out of medication. I got approval from my doctor to get a temporary fill until my actual fill was due. They constantly asked myself, my PCP, and my therapist what happened to the medication. This same medication I have been on for years and never had trouble until I switched to this pharmacy.
Karla Webber 4 months agoI needed copies of pictures to be displayed at my Dad's funeral and some frames. Lex at the Walgreens on Creedmoor and Millbrook was amazing. She could have just pointed towards the photo machines, instead, she walked me through the entire process. She was so helpful and thoughtful. I will be a faithful Walgreens customer...and Lex needs a raise!
Haley Strong 3 years agoIf I could rate this pharmacy a zero, I would. The staff doesn’t care about customers, they’re too busy involved in their own side conversations. They never answer the phone. I’ve called multiple times trying to fill a prescription, been placed on hold, put on another hold for over an hour, just to get disconnected. After that annoyance, I drove to the pharmacy to go inside and witnessed the phone ringing off the hook with absolutely no sense of urgency from any employee to answer it. The pharmacy is scheduled to close at 8 and I arrived at 7:35. The 3 people behind the pharmacy counter were unprofessional, discussing the eyelashes and whitening strips they had purchased, and paying no mind to the 6 people in line. Lyra, the “manager on duty” pulled the accordion gate closed at 7:52pm. When another guest who had finally received their prescription was trying to leave, one of the techs yelled at them from across the counter to “just move the gate” so they could exit. First off, it’s a fire hazard to close people in who don’t know how to move the gate or which direction it comes from. Secondly, my doctor phoned in my refill at 11am that morning and yet they were still counting out my pills after closing time. I waited until 8:14 to leave and the already disgruntled employees were very clearly annoyed and unprofessional. I feel sorry for the elderly gentleman who approached the gate (which was only slightly opened due to another customer having to exit) at 8:01pm who was refused his cough syrup that the ER had phoned in for him. Lyra denied him service because they were “closed” although I preceded to wait another 15 minutes for my meds. Absolutely pitiful. As a fellow retail manager, this is unacceptable and needs to be addressed.
Parks L 7 months agoDecarna Clarke Is a pharmacist at this store, but fills in at other stores. I’m following her with this review. My wife is on a prn anxiety medication for panic disorder and rarely takes more than five of these pills a month. She was dealing with a gallbladder issue and in excruciating pain. She attempted to fill a prescription for oxycodone 5 mg from a local urgent care. I'm actually very impressed with the urgent care, the PA did his job and wrote the prescription, looked at the database and actually included in the instruction "do not combine oxycodone with the Xanax". Decarna Clarke refused to fill my wife's prescription, right at closing time because she needed to call and confirm that the doctor was OK with her being on a prn opioid and a prn benzodiazepine concurrently. The label literally says do not combine with Xanax because she notified him, but he had already done his job and checked the database. My wife requested to pick up her anxiety medicine at a later date, but Decarna Clarke refused to fill anything. When my wife requested her name, Decarna refused to disclose and said you can call me "pharmacist D". I've got a different name for her. Pharmacists Well do have a responsibility to prevent misuse/abuse and diversion, and possible overdose if a prescriber doesn't look at the database. However, there is a point where not possessing common sense or compassion is preventing necessary treatment. My wife suffered all night. I'm a licensed engineer and as such my license is a regulatory measure put in place to protect the general public from incompetence and unqualified people. When you have a license, there is risk. You don't just ignore the needs and requirements of your job, especially when someone's well-being is affected by your fear and/or an internal need to be difficult. To all the pharmacist's that use discretion in dispensing without withholding patient care, thank you. To Decarna, you shouldn't have a license for anything. Because this is public, I'm being way nicer than I want to, but you shouldn't think this is the end of this situation. You might not get any trouble, but I promise you it won't be due to lack of effort on my part.
