CL L 4 months agoI had a return for the pharmacy (store 16147) February 24. I was in line at 8:56 am . At 9:00 am, Talaya opened the pharmacy gate and called me to the register. I walked up, did not say "Good morning" or "Hello," I handed Talaya the return and told her that I had picked up the prescription yesterday and it was the wrong brand. That I cannot use that brand as I'm allergic. That the brand it needed to be used to be in my profile. That I called last night and spoke to someone who said I could return it within 24 hours and that that person left a note for the pharmacist. Talaya immediately rolled her eyes, bobbed her head, and said, "First of all, good morning." To which I replied that I have to go to work, I do not need to provide pleasantries, and I was telling her what had transpired with the rx up to that point. If your pharmacy tech is so sensitive as to rudely attack a customer and jump down their throat for not saying "Good morning" to her, she needs to find a new job where people cater to her sensitivities. She is rude, needs customer service training, and needs to be fired for her attitude and behavior. I was not rude, at first, and simply in a matter of fact way explained the situation. Customers do not need to tell her "Good morning." I had to deal with customers at that store, and others, for years so I normally do not complain and have, in fact, defended employees from other customers who were attacking them for no reason. I did this as an employee and as a customer waiting in line. This pharmacy has been absolutely horrible in the past six months or so. Run, do not walk, as far away from here as you can. Customers have to wait between 30 and 40 minutes for anyone to answer the telephone. The same is true for going to the pharmacy in person. You never get waited on in less than 30 minutes. Further, often you have to make two or three calls, or more, to them to get the medication you need because they have no clue what they are doing. They don't order the medications when the prescription is sent for a refill and it sits until you call again to check. Then they order it, maybe, and you have to call again to make sure. I had to wait three weeks for a prescription to get ordered, delivered, and filled earlier this month. You'd be better off either closing that pharmacy or firing everyone in the pharmacy and putting in people that can actually do the job they are paid for. The store staff are wonderful and helpful. The pharmacy staff, with a few exceptions, are completely inept, self important, and rude.
Molly Thompson 3 months agoThis is a tale of two Walgreens. The front staff is amazing-always friendly, helpful and wonderful. Can’t say enough good things about them. The manager is an amazing human who takes care of her customers and is committed to excellence. The pharmacy is another story. I was extremely sick and had had a prescription for antibiotics called in. It had been 3 hours and I hadn’t heard anything so I figured it was a fluke and my prescription had to be ready. I waited in line for 10 minutes and then asked for my prescription. They said it hadn’t been filled. I told them the estimate had been 30 minutes so I wondered if they were out of stock or if there was another issue. Nope. No apologies, no reason. They just said it wasn’t ready. I told them I needed it urgently and knew they were getting ready to leave for lunch in 10 minutes. One of the techs asked another if they could get it filled before lunch since I had already waited so long. The other tech laughed and said, “nope, I’m not taking care of that before lunch.” I had to come back in an hour, and even then, they had already lost it and the wonderful manager (who doesn’t even work in the pharmacy) came back and helped find it. Because of their incompetence, I was still horribly ill for an important event. I will never, EVER use their pharmacy again (but I can highly recommend the rest of the store).
Lauren Parikh a month agoI was about to switch pharmacies after months of poor service but the past 4 or 5 times I've picked up my prescriptions, I have noticed a marked improvement on wait times, communication, and the friendliness of the staff. I wanted to wait until this became a trend before posting this review but I've been impressed with the effort to improve their service.
Kristin K 5 months agoI don’t understand what’s happened with this pharmacy—if you call, you’re on hold for at least 15-20 minutes (and it usually takes 3 tries to get a person on the phone) and if you go in-person, the staff is so overwhelmed and frustrated with the line of people waiting for help. I have empathy for staff shortages everywhere, but there seems to be a lack of empathy for us as patients and customers. For the last 6 months, every experience with this pharmacy either left me without answers or feeling as though I’m bothering them by picking up a prescription.
Krysti Kim a month agoI went to this location 3 days ago to get my 3 medications for my surgery. I've been taking them per the doctors orders just to find out today they filed 1 of them incorrectly. It was supposed to have 30 pills and the tech working kept 11 of them. Now my dosing for the Dr's schedule is off and I have no way to get the pills they stole from me.
