Samantha Lehman a month agoThis location is 24 hour and generally carries more product than those surrounding. There are plenty of times I've had prescriptions sent to other pharmacies closer to my home just to need to use this location because of product availability. The location is always clean and the team has been excellent.
Anna Bagwell 4 months agoTwo incidents recently have been the final straw for me with this pharmacy. I had a procedure that required pain killers. Several hours after the prescription sent in, it was still not filled. After starting to feel the pain creep in, I called and explained i was post surgery and urgently needed the meds. I was told very bluntly it wouldn't be ready for several more hours with no apology or explanation. I asked to speak to someone else because i was getting really upset and scared about facing an evening post operation with no pain meds and the suffering that would bring. Luckily, the second person was very kind and told me they would fill it right away. Earlier that week, after scheduling my regular drugs to be refilled on Monday afternoon and receiving a text confirming the meds were ready, I arrived at the pharmacy only to have the team dig around looking for it for several minutes. They eventually came to the conclusion that it had been lost. Again, they were quick to correct the error and did apologize but the whole point of pre-scheduling the pick up is to be in and out. The disorganization brings into question the safety of their practices. Where did my lost meds end up? Why were my post op meds not ready? Why do you constantly see a revolving door of new faces in the pharmacy? I don't blame the individual workers as these issues have gone on for as many years as I've been going to this location. This is a systematic or managerial issue that Walgreens certainly has enough money to fix if they actually cared about their customers. They should be paying their employees more so they are invested in their work and so they struggle with less turnover. People who are being compensated fairly will work harder to keep their jobs. Again, this massive company is perfectly capable of making these changes and from the multiple other reviews similar to mine, its clear they dont care to.
Ronnie Willis 4 months agoHad 2 prescriptions sent in on a Wednesday evening because the store is 24 hours and I wanted to pick them up that night. I called to ask how much they would be and jumped through automated hoops for several minutes before being transferred to the pharmacy where no one would answer. The automation informed me my prescriptions would be ready at 11AM the following day. So much for the 24 hour perk. If I had known that I would have used my local pharmacy. I went in after 1:00PM the following day to be informed that my prescriptions STILL weren't ready. When I said what the automation informed me of and asked why it was such a problem the woman behind the counter got a nasty attitude and said she wasn't here last night and told me to have a seat.
Jason Bagwell 5 months agoSo…this review is explicitly for the pharmacy. And I’ll start with saying it is not the staff’s fault entirely. This Walgreen’s pharmacy chews through people - their turnover is rapid. I rarely see the same people there from month to month. Is this an institutional problem? Is this a managerial problem? Is it a compensation problem? How is it that this Walgreens fails to be properly staffed and is constantly out of regular, common drugs? And how is it that the Walgreens across town on 9707 Cedar is the complete opposite? Add them to the list of companies that treat their own people bad and consequently treats their customers badly.
Adair Welton 3 months agoHow long does it take to pick up a box of albuterol, slap a sticker on it and put it in a bag? Apparently, 4 hours. The computer glitched last night and while urgent care had submitted 3 prescriptions Walgreens only got two of them. I'm a patient person, but when having trouble breathing from Flu B for almost 24 hours, I'm over it. When buying another product on my way out last night, to wait for an hour in my car for the other 2 meds, after being told it would be 30 minutes, I had the joy of waiting to check out while the cashier flirted with a pretty young woman and then treated me rudely when he looked up and saw an older woman waiting in a surgical mask. Smiles for sick customers are apparently not a service provided. You're not working for Disneyland. Most of us don't want to be there and want to get out and get home as soon as possible. OH! Have fun with their phone system. To speak with a pharmacist you have to wait on hold for a Walgreens call center to then be transferred to the store and wait on hold again. At 56, it's pretty much guaranteed I'll be a growing source of revenue in the coming years. Ya might wanna be nicer to older folks. You've lost my business. It's sad to watch a company fail so spectacularly after being a solid business for 125 years Ha! Hy-Vee on Bluejay drive had it done in 45 minutes Solid!.
