Life is too short for this kind of service; I’m officially switching to CVS." NO wonder their ratings on Google are so low. Walgreens corporate needs to step in and clean house!

The pharmacy at 3016 Gandy location has gone way downhill. If you have to call, most of the time the phone is answered with “HOLD” at best. Twice in the last two months we have had prescriptions with errors which we understand can happen but it’s how it’s been handled that makes this a one star review. If you (aka Walgreens) make a mistake … own it. Don’t huff at the customer and get angry at them for the mistake of the business. More and more prescriptions are filled offsite at some central hub and shipped to the store which you would think would make things easier but somehow it’s making it more complicated, convoluted and creating a lack of accountability. They can’t seem to keep track of what’s been filled, what’s been picked up and what hasn’t. Partial refills and multiple trips, multiple charges for same RX when you get partials … make sure you know your copays or you’ll get overcharged. Where did all the nice, thoughtful, organized and helpful pharmacy people go??

The pharmacists are awesome but the health care system is deeply flawed. Thank the corrupt health care system for the timely waits and never ending phone calls. Things are bleak in 2026.

I had a terrible experience at this Walgreens pharmacy. My doctor called in a prescription for a basic antibiotic around 1 PM. By the time I came at 4:30 PM, the drive-thru was closed and my prescription still wasn’t ready. I was told “five more minutes,” but it ended up taking another 20 minutes. While waiting, I overheard staff telling nearly every customer their prescriptions weren’t ready either. When I politely asked the manager if this was normal — even giving him the benefit of the doubt by suggesting maybe they were short-staffed — he insisted they had plenty of staff and tried to brush it off. Instead of acknowledging delays or showing empathy, he came across as dismissive and gaslighting. When you’re not feeling well and just need timely care, this type of service is unacceptable. Unfortunately, this isn’t the first time I’ve had a similar experience here. I will not be using Walgreens moving forward for prescriptions or other purchases.

This review is long overdue and kind of specifically goes for the Pharmacy! There's about two or three young ladies that work the drive thru pharmacy gives me the best customer service always. They greet professionally and friendly. When they see that I pay out of pocket they always try to help me find the best discount deal or GoodRx coupon. I just want to tell them thank you so much when they help me like that. My prescription can be very high and they make sure if my coupon discount card isn't the best that they find me one that helps even if it's a couple dollars better. I always get great help at this pharmacy but these young ladies go above and beyond. And for them I am grateful! Thank you!
