Absolute disaster at the pharmacy. Called Friday to confirm they could administer a typhoid vaccine to our 4 year old-was told yes after a 30 minute phone call and talking to multiple people; and was told we didn’t need an appointment. Arrived Sunday and they wouldn’t administer the vaccine, nor did they even have it (!). Completely done dealing with Walgreens Pharmacy…never again.

I just hate this Walgreens. The pharmacy is so unprofessional. Prescriptions are never ready in time. Today I had written confirmation on my Walgreens app that my script would be ready for pick up at 3p. I’m here at 10:45p in order to avoid the long lines and the often extremely disturbed folks who make it an extra tough experience—and of course, NOT READY. Wait 15 mins. WHY?????? Why is it not ready more than 10 hours after it was promised? I need to go to a saner Walgreens or better yet, a different pharmacy.

This is a good sized, well stocked store with friendly, helpful staff. If you don't find what you're looking for, ask. It may be something they carry but is our of stock. Staff are able to check and backroom stock if a shelf space is empty.

This is possibly the worst run pharmacy on planet earth. Their operations should be studied in a lab to reveal what is wrong with the human brain. Somehow they are the only 24-hr pharmacy in the area, but you will spend more than 24 hours of your own time trying to get them to fill a prescription correctly, so you might as well go literally anywhere else.

Pharmacy is in dire need of more support, but the people who work behind the counter are always helpful. The problem lies in the long wait times or the need to call for assistance because this pharmacy doesn’t reliably carry my medication. I often go days without it. They can only provide half refills, which is frustrating. Initially, I had to jump through hoops to get my script filled, and even my doctor had to get involved. He had never encountered this level of hassle before. I was promised by the pharmacy staff that I would become a “known patient” and encounter fewer obstacles in the future. Sadly, that has not been my experience. Note: most photos that appear above are from the 18th/Castro location. This location is also on Castro but in Noe Valley.
