Chiqueta Jones 5 months agoI went to pick up my prescription and decided to get a flu shot fit myself and child. While the lady was assisting placing my insurance information in, you could see the pharmacist (Steve) to the right. He appeared agitated with any question asked and just kept saying that the shots would be a wait. I had already acknowledged that it was okay when he said it the first time. The lady tried to cover up HIS behavior professionally when she saw his behavior by seeing that he was a little behind. I just cane from work myself so understand how it is to be busy and behind so I initially had empathy. I made sure not to appear in a rush and practiced patience because I wasn't in a rush. However, the straw was broken when he slapped the phone down where it was hanging off the hook. *please view your cameras* Everyone's eyes got widen and I told the female to cancel the vaccinations because I didn't trust him to touch me or my child with that behavior. Steve needs training in proper work place etiquette and customer service (maybe some anger management skills as well).
Matthew Outen 2 months agoI frequent there to put money on my Cash App. Idk who the manager (the white lady with glasses) was feeling like today, but that attitude is horrible. I typically let it slide but telling me that I need to tell an employee to send someone to the photo counter is not acceptable As if im an employee there. You work there , you need to pay attention to see who’s at the counter. It’s not the customers responsibility to do that especially when it’s y’all’s policy to make us come to photo counter to do cash deposits. Fix that attitude and do better!
Sam Pham 3 months agoThe pharmacy here has been great. Moved to Charlotte from Oregon almost a year ago and needed a new reliable pharmacy for my specialized and monitored prescription medications. I won't go into all the challenges and differences between Oregon and NC, it's ridiculous, convoluted and stupid, but I digress. Previously I was using CVS in Oregon, no problem, thought it would be simple to just transfer everything over ... NOPE !! Had to physically call around, turns out most CVS in the area can't (or won't) fill my prescriptions. When asked why - the only real explanation I could get was they were over their quota. How can almost every CVS in 15 mile radius be over their quota or unable to obtain a specialized, but fairly common medication? Started to wonder if this is maybe one of the big differences between a red state and blue state healthcare policies and standards? Short answer, sort of ...! So I called this Walgreens off Milton Rd. because it's within a reasonable distance to where I live and they have a drive-thru. The pharmacy assures me they'd have no problem filling the prescription if my doctor sends it their way. So that's what I did. It's been pretty smooth sailing ever since. The system here is different, there definitely more hoops to jump through with doctors, but Walgreens has been reliable. Only once were they out of stock, which happens, they reordered and it arrived a few days later. Usually I have to call a few days ahead of time to keep that from happening or I need to budget to make sure I have a few days extra for delays. OVERALL - The location is certainly a bit old, the building itself is bit run-down and beat, but the service and staff have been great, especially with the pharmacy. The drive-thru is a must for me as mobility isn't always the easiest. I tend to go during the off hours and most days there's only one car ahead of me or none and things usually move at a good pace. Only 2 downsides - (1) The intercom system on the drive-thru doesn't work, so you have speak up, especially if the landscapers are outside using their leaf blowers! (2) Wish I could pay ahead of time through the app or through text link when it says my prescription is ready. I could previously do that with CVS and Rite Aid. I've also been inside the store. Pretty much your usual Walgreens, everything appears fairly clean and organized and most items are well stocked. Lots of good deals of things, and behind the counter allergy meds like generic Walgreens-D. Easy ample parking with lots of other stores in the area. This Walgreens is A-Okay !
T'rya Dorsey a month agoDo NOT leave an overnight FedEx package here. I repeat - DO NOT!! Hell, after this experience I would never leave ANY FedEx package here. An older woman at the front accepted my overnight package and scanned it into their system. To days later it showed as pending pickup at the same location. Apparently, they don’t ship overnight packages for some reason that made zero sense. I had to sign for it as a pickup then take it to another FedEx office. Because they marked this package as customer request for hold at location, it was delayed AGAIN and was en route BACK here. This resulted in an overall 5-day delay on my package being delivered.
Gaysee Davis 4 months agoI love Walgreens when I lived in Brooklyn NY and I love the same treatment with this one as well.... I love the two male pharmacist and my girl Desta which is the bomb.com.... They always go way out with concern, professionalism, answer any questions, make you feel comfortable, especially getting the shots, whewwww my arm... I love Desta tho cs she's always on top of her game and definitely go wayyy out for all the customers which I love and always see whenever I'm picking up my prescription or buying something..... You can't please everyone and THANK GOD I never had an issue with none behind the counter and you do have to wait a little while to get a shot but not too long and I don't like to bother the pharmacist while he's preparing meds for someone cs that's extremely important and if it's too much of a wait, then I'll come back the next or another day.. I was glad I waited cs I do nottt like needles in my arm but all of them are good.... Thank you Walgreens
