I’ve used the pharmacy here for about a year and it’s slowly gone down hill. Not only are they constantly late on my birth control (which you’re not supposed to miss) but I was also lied to on one occasion and told it wasn’t there, when I went inside to ask further questions it was. The same guy tonight told me they don’t have it again after 3 days of waiting and when I expressed how serious it was he told me to find another pharmacy. I’ve been service industry my whole life and I can tell you I would never treat a customer like that.

I’ve been standing here 10 minutes waiting for the manager that was talking to a delivery driving and disappeared, don’t even see what I was doing. Terian is the manager name just horrible service, horrible disposition. Walgreens must do better

I needed to get a Covid-19 test in preparation for a medical procedure. There were no available walk-in testing facilities withing five miles of my location in New Orleans, so I had to opt to go through a drive through. Unfortunately, I don't own a car; only a bicycle. When I arrived on my bike, the lady stated Walgreen's policy states that I could only be tested if I were in a car. In a city where about 1/3 of the population depends solely on their bicycle as transportation, I felt this was not only completely illogical and unfair, I also felt marginalized that persons like myself, who are very low on the income scale, would be refused. Does being in a car have any impact on testing? I think not, being I have been tested for Covid-19 outdoors before. When the lady refused to give me a reason other than "It's policy", I laid my bike down and refused to move. Instead of testing me or reasoning with me, they called the police. I waited til the police officer arrived. He was very even-keeled, kind, and tried to be helpful, so I left without incident. Nonetheless, it was a ridiculous and infuriating experience. Needless to say, I won't be patronizing Walgreen's any longer... and neither should you, if the concept of "equality", "fairness", and a person's well-being and health-over-profit concerns you.

Better than some other area Walgrees, but that's not saying much. Enjoy running the gauntlet of homeless, drugged-out pandhandlers who line the entrance, and the occasional thief leaving the store with an armful of unpaid merchandise, as you enter. The only section of the store with any real activity is the Pharmacy, whose staff are doing their best. Doesn't mean there won't be a 10-30 minute wait while your order is filled. The drive-thru is lame as well, with a speaker system so difficult to hear that you're left wondering why they don't just use sign language through the bullet-proof glass. Lastly, forget about Walgreen's laughable "Save-a-Trip" program whereby they promise to synchronize multiple prescriptions. Well into year four, they have only once (quite by accident) managed to deliver two Rx's in the same day. Their system will also hold up requests for no obvious reason, for days at a time, and you may even be told that out-of-state Walgreens cannot fill prescriptions for you while traveling. (What's the point of using this pharmacy chain, then?? I often ask myself.)
