⭐☆☆☆☆ I am extremely disappointed with my experience at the Walgreens pharmacy located on Roosevelt Road. I am currently recovering from multiple gunshot wounds and continue to suffer from significant mobility issues, including severe swelling in my legs. On the evening of May 30, I called the pharmacy shortly before closing to let them know I was arriving through the drive-thru to pick up medication that had been prescribed by my doctor. When I arrived, I was told the drive-thru was closed. After explaining my medical condition and difficulty walking, I was initially told that if my prescription was ready, they would provide it. Moments later, I was told that because I am a Medicaid recipient, I needed to come inside to sign for the medication. This was confusing because I have previously signed for prescriptions through the drive-thru at Walgreens. Despite my physical limitations, I agreed to walk inside. At that point, I was told the pharmacy was closed and that I would not be receiving my medication. I requested the names of the employees involved and asked to speak with a supervisor. Those requests were denied. What should have been a routine prescription pickup became an extremely stressful experience while I was already dealing with severe pain and ongoing recovery from traumatic injuries. I have since filed multiple complaints with Walgreens Corporate and am still seeking answers regarding the handling and status of my prescription. This review is not about receiving special treatment. It is about being treated with professionalism, compassion, and respect as a patient seeking medically necessary medication. I sincerely hope Walgreens reviews this incident and takes steps to improve how patients with mobility limitations and serious medical conditions are treated in the future.

I finally had to stop going here. I had delayed prescriptions and always dealt with long lines. They are understaffed, they need more workers. I just switched to Jewel Osco, I was shocked when there was no long line and no delay on my medication. I urge everyone to switch to another pharmacy. Walgreens is falling behind and peoples health are at stake.

ABSOLUTELY THE WORST. I took my disposable camera to this particular Walgreens, and I had the most horrendous experience. Not only did it take them forever to pick up the phone and tell me when my photos were ready. BUT, they LOST my photos. Photos that I could NEVER get back. And when I asked them about what I could do, they told me they would reach out. Guess what…the never did. I would continuously go over there, and every time they said they had no information. After a while, I lost hope. I will never get these photos back. Safe to say: Do NOT trust this Walgreens with anything!

I’m generally pleased with the service my wife and I get at the Walgreens at Roosevelt & Canal in Chicago. Holly took care of me today and she was delightful. She was friendly and engaging and made me feel welcome. I appreciate that when I come into a store.

The customer experience at the pharmacy is quite horrendous. I ALWAYS experience waiting in a queue regardless if I’m inside or at the drive-thru. They also never pick up the phone and I’ve waited over 25 mins and gave up with 2 callers ahead of my call. While I’m empathetic towards the staff I don’t understand why they don’t hire more help when the customer experience is negatively impacted.
