This is one of the easiest Walgreens locations to get in and out of in Chicago. I’ve been a loyal customer for decades, and there are several things that truly set this store apart. First, it’s one of the few locations in the city with a pharmacy drive-through, which is an absolute game-changer. Whether it’s a hot summer day or a freezing Chicago winter, being able to stay in your car, especially when you’re sick, is priceless. Second, having an actual parking lot in the city is a huge bonus, making every visit quick and stress-free. Finally, what truly sets this Walgreens apart is the staff. Everyone I’ve interacted with here has been consistently friendly, helpful, and efficient, which makes a noticeable difference. Jian in the pharmacy is outstanding. He is professional, kind, knowledgeable, and always willing to help. It’s a relief knowing you’re in good hands when he’s working, whether you’re picking up a prescription or need advice on over-the-counter options. This location is reliable, efficient, and genuinely well run. Highly recommended!

The reviews are not lying. I wish I could leave 0 stars, this is the worst location I have ever been to in my entire life. I recently switched insurances and HAVE to go to Walgreens now after going to CVS for years. This pharmacy has made my experience horrible. I quickly moved my medications to another location because the 3 interactions I had at this location were insane. First, I called to get my scripts transferred over and after waiting like 40 minutes on hold just to talk to someone, I explained my situation and was then met with "hold on," and the phone was slammed against something. They also told me they would not take my insurance information over the phone. I then went in person and it was even worse. Like a circus, people running around like chickens with their head cut off I didn't know who was helping me or who wasn't I talked to 3 people to get 2 scripts filled. AND TO TOP IT ALL OFF, they told me my insurance wasn't even covered there BECAUSE THEY INPUTTED ALL THE INFORMATION WRONG. So I had to pay out of pocket. I've been going back and fourth between insurance and trying to get ahold of this pharmacy again I just couldn't take it anymore and switched to another Walgreens for help. The WHOLE pharmacy staff should be let go. I'm not joking. DO NOT fill your prescriptions here if you want long wait times, and incredibly unhelpful staff. Its like they chose the most unhelpful people on this earth and put them all into the same pharmacy. DO NOT GO HERE.

I had a very frustrating experience at Walgreens - 641 N Clark St, and it unfortunately aligns with many of the negative reviews already posted here. I went to pick up medication for my daughter. I was initially asked to wait 30 minutes, during which time the staff spent about 15 minutes trying to enter my daughter’s insurance information into the system and told me it had been successfully added. Since it was taking longer than expected, I said I would return later, and I was assured the prescription would be ready within 30 minutes. Five hours later, I called to check the status. The staff member who answered was extremely rude, told me to “come back in 30 minutes” again, and abruptly hung up the call. I went to the store an hour later, only to be told once more to wait another 30 minutes. This lack of clarity and professionalism was very frustrating, especially since I had already driven back and forth and the medication was needed urgently for my daughter. After additional waiting, the prescription was finally prepared, but it was billed without insurance. When I questioned the unusually high charge, the staff went back to fix the issue, which took another 20 minutes to correctly add my daughter’s insurance. Overall, this was an extremely inefficient and poorly managed experience. Long wait times, incorrect billing, unclear communication, and rude behavior made this a complete waste of time. For something as important as a child’s medication, this level of service is unacceptable.

Very disappointing experience at this Walgreens pharmacy today. The staff were rude and unprofessional, and the pharmacist was impatient and dismissive when I tried to explain my situation. I was attempting to transfer a prescription from another pharmacy, but instead of helping, they kept blaming me and saying I didn’t understand. One pharmacy technician with colored hair walked away to the back as soon as I came to the counter without assisting me. I later went to another pharmacy, and they found the prescription immediately and filled it in less than 30 minutes. This location seriously needs better customer service.

Julia the pharmacy operations manager is an insufferable excuse for a manager. I had to call insurance to reauthorize my prescription because I was unaware it was placed on a mail order supply by my insurance til I went to pick it up and she was condescending and treated me like I was incompetent for not knowing this. I was never notified nor opted into it with my insurance. When I called and was visibly on hold she came up and snapped at me asking “you still on hold??” Then when I needed to pass the phone to her to let my insurance agent confirm that it was sent through she didn’t pick the phone up and greet the agent, so the agent did not know she was even there to speak to and when Julia asked a question and my agent didn’t know she was speaking to her she shoved the phone back over the counter to me with a huff/scoff and rolled her eyes at me and walked away. I had to then ask her halfway across the pharmacy what was happening and she goes “I’M FILLING IT.” Then didn’t speak a word to me the rest of the transaction and when I said “thank you,” she scoffed and immediately started talking to the person behind me with the same tone. She is disrespectful and treats the customer as a pain in the you know where. All of this is visible on the footage so feel free to corroborate my story here, Walgreens. And start looking for a new manager or you’ll lose more business than just mine.
