Night Berdie 2 months agoI've been coming here for last 4 years now. Finn is a great addition to the area and I really appreciate his awareness and his customer service! 🏆He speaks very professionally to his staff and to the customers , it's much appreciated! Also, it's great to see you hired Maria from Rite-Aide, she's wonderful and its so nice to see a familiar, friendly face 🥳
shawn killin 2 months agoFirst off, I should mention that I was never there in person. However, the person that was there in person was in contact with me consistently throughout this process. So basically, W was there to get meds for her son who had just had surgery. W was being told that they were not covered by insurance, despite having a digital card, all of the numbers, and a letter confirming coverage. The pharmacist lady (PL) claimed to have called insurance company, and said that they told her he had not been covered since February. Not only do we know this to be untrue, but we have proof. So, W called me, and I sent her a photo of all of the insurance numbers, and she immediately showed them to PL. PL continued to state that there was no coverage, and after about 2 hours, W left in tears, calling me again. So I called the pharmacy, questioned her about her supposed conversation with the insurance company. During this conversation, she asked me for the phone number of the insurance company, claiming that she wanted to make sure she had the right phone number (if you spoke to them before, wouldn’t that indicate you had the right number?), she then claimed that the numbers I was giving her were the new numbers, as opposed to the “old numbers” she had received before. I responded to this by telling her that those numbers I had just told her were the same numbers that she had previously received, and the same numbers that had been written down in my notebook for years. So that’s two loads of bullshit she had attempted to feed me in just a few minutes. When I asked how that made sense, since she had supposedly spoken to the insurance company, she abruptly asked for a pcp number. I asked her what that stood for, as it could stand for primary care provider, plan code… I don’t know. And she begins to slowly enunciate P.C.P. I interrupted to tell her that I know the _____ alphabet, I asked what it stands for. She didn’t know, but while trying to figure that out, miraculously, everything was fine, and the prescription would be ready in under 10 minutes. During that call, no new information was provided, she was not in contact with the insurance company, and yet somehow, everything worked itself out, as if there were no issues to begin with. At one point she stated that they were backed up, as if she would not be able to follow through with filling this prescription. I’m of the belief that PL made the conscious choice to not spend the time calling the insurance company, deciding that her time would be better spent in other ways. Based on my conversation with her, it was obvious she was lying to cover up incompetence or laziness. Either way, PL should be looked into, because, if it hasn’t already, that incompetence/laziness could cost someone their life.
Adam 4 months agoThis is by far the worst pharmacy I have ever used, anywhere in the world. If I could give zero stars, I would (this review is specific to the pharmacy, not the overall store). Firstly, unless your prescription is something very standard, they definitely won’t have it in stock. Then, transferring the prescription to another Walgreens is extremely difficult. Recently we just gave up with one prescription and had our medical provider send a new prescription to CVS instead. In early January, a prescription was sent here for my 6 month old baby. They had her insurance on file, but as it was a new year, the insurance plan number had changed. Rather than calling us to clarify the insurance details, they just decided we didn’t have insurance and didn’t fill the prescription without telling us, leaving our baby without medicine. We were only able to clarify the situation late in the day when we called and they told us the insurance didn’t run correctly so they didn’t fill it. We clarified the new details, but it was too late in the day, so my baby was just left without medicine until the next day (by the way, it takes a very long time to contact the pharmacy by phone). You would think a pharmacy would understand that when there is a new year, new insurance cards are issued and the plan numbers change (it was the same insurance plan). This demonstrates a distinct lack of care. More recently, another prescription was sent here for my baby. The Walgreens app showed a ‘delay’, so we called them and were again told the insurance didn’t run. It turned out they had both last year’s and this year’s insurance on file and only bothered to run the old one. On a more positive note, most of the employees and the main pharmacist are friendly. This is with the exception of one male employee (he looks relatively young and Middle Eastern), who has a somewhat aggressive/ abrasive attitude to customers. For example, one time in the drive thru, he basically scolded my wife because he couldn’t hear her properly (this comment is in no way related to his race, but I cannot think of another way to identify him - there are multiple other young looking male employees who are friendly). Overall, I would not recommend this pharmacy at all. Send your prescription literally anywhere else.
